Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997 to her natural Filipino parents. Her grandmother was a resident of among the Manila slums until she reached the age of three. Her adoptive parent is an American white man with a military background, while her mother is Filipino. Her mother claims that she as well as her brother, who was adopted as infants, were subject to abuse until they were drafted. In order to move to Texas, when she turned 13her family stayed for several months staying in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. The physical attack was less severe, however she still dealt with the psychological abuse her father suffered in her home. Poarch enlisted in the United States Navy when she was 18 years old. The clip, which was zoomed in, of her synchronized lip-syncing to the melody and jumping into the song was an extremely viral video which was the top TikTok video. After joining TikTok Poarch created a YouTube account and an Twitter one in order to boost her fame. The fame of Poarch peaked in December 2020. Two of the biggest Esports professional teams were said to be interested in her. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves both showed interest in hiring the creator of the content for their own brands.
