Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor and a singer. Parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Bell was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is from Polish heritage (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer in the early stages. In 1992, Kristen was the first to go to an audition. She was given the role in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mother signed as an agent was also auditioned for ads on newspapers and TV. Also, Bell began taking private acting classes. Bell was as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical and drama club. She was the star of Dorothy at her school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater upon graduation. Bell left college in 2001 when she took the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit with Pootie Tang during 2001. The scene however, was trimmed and now her only appearance is in the credits at the end. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
