Liza Snyder

Snyder was a native of Northampton, Massachusetts. The mother of her, who is a songwriter and singer and father, is a musician. Snyder is also a professor of theatre in Smith College. Her maternal grandparents were five times Academy Award-winning composer, Johnny Green, and the actor and journalist, Betty Furness. Snyder is a graduate of the New York's Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre where she studied acting under the guidance under the guidance of Sanford Meisner. Snyder started her acting career by appearing in TV dramas including The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and Murder, She Wrote. In 1993, she landed the lead role as Molly Whelan in the ABC and then syndicated crime drama Sirens. When the show was cancelled the actress starred with her co-star in two made-for-television movies which she also guest starred in, Chicago Hope, and Pacific Blue. The actress was a regular on Jesse, the NBC comedy Jesse which starred Christina Applegate from 1998-2000. In the sitcom Pay It Forward written by Mimi Leder, she played an unimportant role. Snyder began her acting career as Christine Hughes, a CBS sitcom Yes, Dear, later the same year. The series ended in 2006. Snyder took a 5-year break following the conclusion of Yes, Dear. In 2011, she made her return to the screen with a guest-starring part in an episode of House, playing a patient who needs a lung transplant. In a Raising Hope episode from 2013 she reprised her Yes, Dear character. Liza Liza Liza
