Cindy Crawford

Cynthia Ann Crawford was born on February 20, 1966. She is an American actress, model and television host. She was a model as well as a popular figure on magazines' covers, runways, and fashion ads in the 1980s and 1990s. Later, she ventured into acting and began a business. Her sophomore year of high school, she received an inquiry from an apparel store in the local area regarding modeling. Then she realized that it was a joke call by two students. Crawford was offered a job by a different store the following year to do a modeling job for them. The store also hosted an fashion shoot. Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to photograph her. He was responsible for taking a picture of another college girl for DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford was chosen as the first cover. Her enthusiastic feedback and the image led her to begin modeling. At first, she worked for a small agency. Elite Model Management sold her to the agency just after she signed. At 17 years old she was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest and was able to make it to the national finals.
